Apparently the woman did not recall that this was to have been her execu tion day. The jailers are not men tioning the fact. Mrs. Napolitano frequently kissed her cooing girl baby, which remains with its mother till the latter is re moved to the Kingston penitentiary, for which no date has been set. The former sank in five minutes. The Sil verton rescued some of the passengers and crew and brought them to Gib raltar. Ninety-three passengers and mem bers of the crew perished on the Emir. The Silverton lowered all of her boats, but was only able to rescue twenty-three.
